Salary: $35 - $48 per hour
We are a fast-growing company who is an international leader in developing innovative measurement and control solutions, primarily for scientific applications. Our equipment is often used to characterize the physical properties of early-stage electronic and magnetic materials.
Due to growth, we are looking to add a CNC Programmer and Machinist to program, setup, and operate Haas VMC’s using CamWorks software to produce low-volume custom metal and plastic components. This position will work out of our Woburn office.

Are you passionate about precision and have a knack for problem-solving? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of high-quality products. You will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to manufacture complex parts and assemblies, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency are maintained.
Responsibilities:
1. Programming and setting up CNC machines using software such as CamWorks, or similar.
2. Operating a variety of CNC machines, including Haas VMC, to produce high-quality components.
3. Working with a high mix of low-volume manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of unique and high-quality products.
4. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
5. Utilizing your knowledge of materials, machining processes, and mathematics to solve complex manufacturing problems.
6. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
7. Performing regular maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
8. Collaborating with the engineering team to improve processes, reduce lead times, and increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer / Machinist in the engineering or related industry.
2. Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines, with hands-on experience in software such as CamWorks, or similar.
3. Experience with high-mix low-volume parts.
4. Strong knowledge of materials, machining processes, and mathematics.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. A commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
8. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
9. A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field would be an asset.
