Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for machining parts based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Can set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
- Perform quality checks using calipers, coordinate measuring machines, and other measuring tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC programs, tooling, and machinery
- Maintain accurate documentation of CNC programs, tooling setups, and production records
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficiency in Mastercam or similar CAD software for creating 3D models and generating tool paths
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Familiarity with various types of tooling used in CNC machining operations
- Knowledge of milling machines, lathes, and other CNC equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
