CNC Operator / Shop Assistant

Shop assistant/CNC machine operator for a fast-paced precision, prototype CNC machine shop. Full time position for immediate hire, ATTENTION TO DETAIL MANDATORY, good work ethics, mechanical minded & machine shop experience preferred. Duties include inspection assistant, CNC machine operator, material prep/control, janitorial (sweeping, moping, cleaning toilets, trash etc.) parts finishing (deburring, sanding, polishing, washing, tapping, ink stamping, insert installation) machine maintenance.

- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control standards are met
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain product specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues
- Conduct basic math calculations to verify dimensions and measurements
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols

Skills:
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and related equipment
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and standards
- Experience with CAD software is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
