Cnc Mill Machinist Swing Shift (4 Day Schedule)

Shields is experiencing growth in the fourth quarter of 2023 and we have an immediate opportunity for three CNC Mill Machinists on the Swing shift.   Swing shift is Monday through Thursday 330p-2a shifts. These team members will carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

CNC Mill Machinist (Levels 1-3) - CNC Mill Machinist

• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Starts and observes machine operation
• Calculates and set controls to regulate machining factors
• Process offset changes unassisted
• Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Verify conformance of completed work
• Working on lathes such as Mori Seiki (NLX2500, NLX3000, NLX4000, NZX2000), Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2, Manual Lathe.

Requirements:

• Extensive machine shop/metal working skills
• Possesses the ability to work with decimals
• Comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths)
• Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part
• Ability to adjust programs if required
