Cnc Mastercam Programmer

Position Summary:

Arrowhead Machining, Inc. is a manufacturing facility seeking a CNC Mastercam Programmer. As a member of the programming team, you will plan the machining process of new parts and improve the efficiency of legacy parts by working with other process engineers, production, quality, and procurement, as well as our customers and vendors, to develop the most efficient manufacturing process possible.

The programmer will be responsible for participating in the overall manufacturing concept, performing detailed analysis of machine tool and process performance and requirements, developing methods of solving problems against machine tool and process performance issues and overseeing fabrication, assembly, and test of prototype and alpha-level processes, as well as finalize and support the process design through production release.

Depending on the size and scope of the projects, this work may be done by the programmer alone, or as part of a small team. As manufacturing processes are the core of Arrowhead Machining, Inc.’s business, the position has high visibility within the business, and strong performers will become highly valued team members. Must be able to program on many different types of machines.

Haas VMCs, HMCs and 5th Axis VMCs, DMG Sprint Swiss-type machines, DMG NHX HMC, DMG NTX Mill/Turns, Okuma Multus Mill/Turn, and Eurotech Trofeo lathes.

Duties And Responsibilities:

· Use computer software “Mastercam” to model cutting paths and program machines accordingly.

· Create set-up sheets using Mastercam software.

· Set up and prove out new programs.

· Clean, organize, and maintain a safe work area and facility.

· Make an effort to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising quality.

· Work cooperatively with other team members to meet quotas and goals.

· Observe safety guidelines and report concerns to management in a timely fashion.

· Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.

· Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

· Other duties as assigned.

Desirable Qualifications:

· 10+ years CNC Machinist

· 10+ years of CNC Programming.

· Expertise in Mastercam Software

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School Graduate or GED equivalent

· 10 years of experience in developing machined components in milling centers

· Experience with a variety of machines; Verticals, Horizontals, Lathes, Swiss, and Mill-turns

· 5 years of experience in 4 and 5-axis milling work

· 5 years of Mastercam Software.

· Fluency in CAD/CAM appropriate for the development of said manufacturing processes

· Knowledge of CNC machine setups.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

· Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if needed.

· Theoretical understanding of the key metrics and parameters associated with the design of manufacturing processes for complex machined components

· Demonstrated technical depth in the analysis of and development of solutions for the challenges in the fabrication and qualification of complex machined components

· Strong communication skills including demonstrated ability to create clear reports and documentation

· Ability to lead small teams of machinists, inspectors, and other skilled labor

· Enthusiastic desire to help drive engineering effort and capability of a company to best-in-class

Working Environment:

· Required to use PPE; Safety Glasses.

· Exposed to Chemicals; Commercial products (Oil, Cleaning Solvents, Fumes, Dust Excessive Noise.

· Moving Machinery and Equipment.

· Lift to 50lbs.

· Bending, Stooping, standing for 10 hours a day.

Education/Experience:

· High School diploma or GED.

Language Skills:

Must have the ability to read and write in English.

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
