Position Summary:
As a senior CNC Machinist and Programmer, you will assume a pivotal role in leading and overseeing CNC machining operations within our organization, reporting directly to the company owner. Your key responsibilities will encompass mentoring junior machinists, ensuring the efficient and precise production of machined parts, and upholding high-quality standards. Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CNC machinist.
- Significant experience in a prototype environment, preferably in an AS9001-certified facility.
- Proficiency in CNC programming preferably with Siemens NX.
- Proficiency in CNC setup and operation.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Technical degree or relevant certifications in CNC machining is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and Machining:
- Program machining operations using Siemens NX.
- Review existing CNC programs, setups, and tooling to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise in programming and setup.
- Assist junior machinists with complex tasks.
- Production Oversight:
- Assist with machining operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Senior Machinists to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure machined parts meet specifications and quality standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures, addressing any issues promptly.
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior machinists.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist with the upkeep of CNC machines, ensuring they are well-maintained and operating in optimal condition.
- Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
