We are currently seeking CNC Mill and Lathe Operators and for our 2nd and 3rd Shifts at our facility located in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. We are in the final stages of completing a new 30,000 square foot facility in Plattsmouth and should start moving into it soon!
Some previous CNC mill and/or lathe experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities: Produces machined parts by operating computer numerical control (CNC) mills and lathes; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Job Duties:
- Correctly reads and understands prints to correctly determine required measurements and tolerances.
- Changes out parts in CNC machines.
- Verifies that parts are within tolerance by taking measurements using various tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, thread wires, Go/No-Go gages, depth gages, etc.
- Performs a standard part comparison.
- Deburrs or otherwise finishes parts after machining.
- Operates basic shop equipment related to CNC Production including but not limited to drill press, red wheel, and grinder.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Cleans and maintains personal workspace.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the operation of CNC mills and/or lathes is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with commonly used manufacturing tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills
- Basic mathematical ability
- Ability to comprehend parts and objects in three-dimensional thinking
- Ability to learn how to read and comprehend drawings, specifications, and plans
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read print measurements

We operate three shifts – 1st shift runs from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., 2nd shift from 4:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M., and 3rd shift from midnight to 9:00 A.M. Shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd Shifts.
