Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to cut, shape, and form parts from metal workpieces
- Interpret production orders and blueprints to determine machining parameters
- Measure workpieces to verify conformance to specifications using precision instruments
- Load tools and materials and enter programming codes to run CNC lathe
- Continuously monitor machine operation to ensure quality and prevent interruptions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks like cleaning and lubricating machines
Skills Required:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals
- Knowledge of machining principles and materials properties
- Proficiency with CNC lathe controls and operating systems
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Experience programming and operating lathes preferred but not required
