We are looking to hire a dedicated individual with a strong background in patient care and administrative tasks to assist in our mission of promoting Public Health and providing quality healthcare services.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under supervision/ direction of clinical supervisor
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and other relevant patient information
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, treatments, and examinations
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, ensuring infection control protocols are followed
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records and requests
- Greet patients and visitors, and provide them with assistance and information as needed
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources as necessary
- Assist in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment as needed
- Document patient care activities with accuracy and timeliness in accordance with health care standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction
- Participates in health care outreach and initiatives through events, seminars and programs
Job Requirements:
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Maintenance of CNA certification throughout employment with CHD
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a Public Health Department
- Proficiency in medical terminology and clerical duties
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Willingness to work efficiently and effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participate in organizational education and training as requested
Other Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Community or Public Health experience preferred
