CNA Corrections

Overview:

Distinctive|RS is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team correctional healthcare providers. As a Corrections CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to facility inmates. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about healthcare to make a positive impact in a facility in need of support.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Provide assistance to nurses and doctors during medical procedures
• Administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Assist with patient transfers and repositioning to ensure comfort and prevent bedsores
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
• Document patient information accurately in medical records
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

Requirements:

• Aseptic technique knowledge to maintain infection control standards
• Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
• Previous experience in caregiving or related healthcare field is desired
• Familiarity with medical equipment such as Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment
