C.N.A. - Class Participant

The Brian Center - Alleghany is accepting applications for full -time CNA students.

We will be conducting a class at 100 ARH Lane, Low Moor, VA 24457

We are looking for caring, warm-hearted people who are searching for an opportunity to do meaningful work, and we will provide the education!

Course Duration:

4 to 6 Weeks – Containing a combination of Class, Clinical and Simulations.

Start date April 8th, 2024.

Course Description:

This course is designed to help the student gain knowledge in physiological, social, and psychological areas that affect the general population. You will be presented with a core theory including communication, role of the nursing assistant in healthcare institutions, legal aspects, physical, social, and emotional needs and safety.

Perfect attendance and minimum grade standards are mandatory. Upon class completion, new graduates must be able to work a full-time schedule with every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

The CNA provides direct care to the residents of the health and rehabilitation center, assisting them in Activities of Daily Living under the direction and supervision of a professional nurse. Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents. Serves and collects food trays and assists in feeding residents. Measures and records weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output as directed. We are looking for caring individuals who can follow appropriate procedures and deliver outstanding care and service.

Each student who successfully completes this course must then pass a test before they have the right to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
