Looking for some dependable CNAs in the Marietta area who is available to work 7pm-7am. Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, attentive, professional, and love helping seniors.
Position Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our homecare agency, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and assistance to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote the well-being and independence of our clients. Your compassionate nature, excellent communication skills, and strong work ethic will contribute to creating a positive and supportive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Mobility Support: Help clients with transferring, positioning, and ambulation to ensure their safety and mobility.
Medication Assistance: Administer medications according to the care plan and under the guidance of a nurse.
Vital Sign Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care, observations, and any changes in their condition.
Companionship: Provide emotional support, companionship, and engage in meaningful conversations with clients.
Meal Preparation: Assist with meal planning and preparation, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up the client's living space.
Client Safety: Maintain a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards or risks.
Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team to provide comprehensive care and address any concerns.
Collaboration: Collaborate with the registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, and other team members to develop and implement care plans for clients.
Observation and Reporting: Observe clients for any changes in their physical or mental health and promptly report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Infection Control: Follow proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean and hygienic environment for clients.
Professional Development: Stay updated with industry knowledge and advancements in caregiving practices through continuing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Valid Certification: Possess a current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a homecare setting.
Compassion and Empathy: Demonstrate a genuine concern for the well-being of clients and the ability to provide compassionate care.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and the care team.
Physical Stamina: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
