Job description

St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice to join our Center of Orthopedic Sports Medicine team.

 

Schedule:

  • Shifts are Monday - Friday with a rotating day off
  • The hours for this position are between 0530-1900
  • The schedule is 4x10 hour shifts per week
  • The expected start date for this position will be in February/March 2024

 

Unit/Position Summary

 

The center of orthopedic and Sports Medicine surgery center is a free standing 10 OR surgery center. We offer all types of ambulatory procedures from the simplest to the most complex repairs of the shoulder/knee/elbow/wrist/hand/foot/ankle. We have a highly skilled orthopedic-focused team of RNs/CSTs/SPDs and office staff to serve our patients, physicians, and each other in a comfortable and focused environment.

  • Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
  • Documents information in patient record.
  • Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
  • Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
  • Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
  • Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Education: None
- Experience: 6 months relevant experience and demonstrated expanded skill set as required by unit/ department
- Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
