AW Health Care invites experienced and dedicated CNAs and Caregivers to apply to our full-time position for our partner Independent Living Community, Gambrill Gardens located in Ellisville, MO. Our Caregivers and CNAs make a difference in our clients lives by keeping them safe and healthy in the comfort of their homes.
Shift: This position would have 6 and 12 hour shifts between the hours of 6:45AM - 9:15PM, Monday- Friday and work every other weekend.
CNA/Caregiver Job Summary: The CNA or Caregiver provides personal hygiene and a safe environment to clients. Priority will be given to providing for the client's physical care such as personal cleanliness and/or wound care and to the immediate environment which directly affects the client's health and safety needs. CNA/Caregivers services are scheduled as intermittent visits provided to the client according to the client's care plan.

$16.00 - $20.00 /Hourly

CNA/Caregiver Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have valid Driver's License, your own reliable transportation and vehicle insurance***
- Must have at least six months toone year of professional caregiver experience preferably with the geriatric population
- Must possess moderate computer skills, including word processing and data entry
- Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be a "team player" dedicated to providing a high level of customer service, with a positive attitude
- Must be able to communicate effectively and possess well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Must maintain required yearly training/education as mandated by agency
- Providing assistance with light meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, personal hygiene and medication reminders
- collecting and delivering mail
- play games and participate in other social events
- facilitate the client's safe participation in family gatherings
- any other reasonable request
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Has the ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively;
- CNA preferred, but not necessary;
- Able to work with pets and smokers in client homes;
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
- Ability to participate in physical activity.
- Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
- Moderate lifting, 20-40 pounds.
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
