TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is looking for a CMM Programmerin Shakopee, MN.

Overall Purpose

The PC-DMIS CMM Programmer will participate in the site inspection function by developing inspection paths for a computerized portable arm coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Also, will develop programs using customer part specifications in an accurate, timely and efficient manner. Program offline for the bridge CMM as well as the Romer arm with scanner

Responsibilities

(To include but not limited to the following)

Client Relationship & Business Development

• Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.

Operations

• Determine part inspection requirements from customer's geometric blueprints.
• Program and Operate CMM and Romer Arm using PC-DMIS software.
• Check incoming material, as well as PPAP material.
• Administer and / or edit previously created programs.
• Verify the operator's setup is suitable, the machine is calibrated and is operational.
• Determine how to set up parts and provide instructions.
• Set parts according to created programmer instructions.
• Create reusable program codes for PC-DMIS.
• Ensure the part inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level.
• Operate computer programming hardware and software systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot fixed arm setups and inspections paths.
• Maintain equipment as needed.
• Other duties and / or responsibilities as assigned.

Technical

• Expert level proficiency developing inspection programs, using PC-DMIS and / or DOCS operating systems or equivalent.
• Expert level of proficiency interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing standards (GD&T) and Metrology concepts.
• Expert level proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings (blueprints).
• Expert level proficiency navigating MS Windows and computer networks.
• Expert level proficiency in applied mathematics (algebra, geometry, and trigonometry).
• Expert level knowledge of surface-plate inspection techniques, measuring tools, and gauges.
• Expert level of spatial reasoning skill related to CMM operations and measurement.
• Demonstrated comfort level interfacing with staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated job diligence, attention to details, and solid problem-solving skills.

• Strong demonstrated experience in PC-DMIS (Bridge Type) Fixed CMM programming and operation.
• Previous quality inspection experience.

Education background

• 2-year or 4-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
