This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity with our client, hiring immediately!

SummaryCoordinate measuring machine (CMM) programmers oversee writing PC-DMIS programs for first article, in-process, receiving inspection, and final inspection part measurement. Work with the production, engineering, and quality assurance departments to develop inspection plans with the CMM and other measurement equipment for first article, in process, final inspection, and receiving inspection from vendors. This role requires running CMM equipment to ensure that the product produced meets all quality and dimensional requirements. Individuals will be responsible for product compliance to drawings and preliminary inspections to program parts. They will be required to operate and set-up CMM equipment and use other gauges and devices for part measurements. CMM programmer will design tools, fixtures, and jigs for inspection equipment to be used for part measurement. Also, to perform other duties as assigned.Job Duties
  • Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs to verify first article, in process, and final product of various complex and critical components to customer, engineering, and quality specifications.
  • Prove CMM programs using PC-DMIS simulation software to prevent crashes.
  • Tracking, documentation, and reporting of CMM data, inspection observations and interpretations.
  • Work as a team by openly collaborating with inspectors, machinists, engineers, and other fellow team members.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and clean inspection tools to ensure accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for the quality assurance department and Senga Engineering.
  • Perform all assignments in accordance with AS9100:D, ITAR, and all other regulatory requirements.
  • Review, refine, set-up new and repeat CMM programs on the production floor, in quality assurance, and the engineering room.
  • Troubleshoot issues with CMM during in-process production inspection
  • Review and schedule CMM loading for in-process CMM inspection on the shop floor
  • Write Keyence programs for Keyence IM system measurement routines
  • Using CAD modeling to design Tools, Jigs, and Fixtures for CMM inspection.
  • Creating work instructions for machinists, inspectors, and operators for setting up parts on the CMM.
  • Work with the engineering team and IT personnel to ensure that all software is up to date.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.                                   
Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • Must have 5+ years with CMM programming
  • Must have 5+ years with first article inspection, in-process inspection
  • Advanced proficiency with PC-DMIS (2017 or newer)
  • Advanced knowledge in blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
  • Must understand Datum Alignments, Degrees of Freedom, and basic PC-DMIS alignments ( 3-2-1 alignment, read point alignment, iterative alignment, and CAD transform )
  • Must know to utilize common inspection fixturing and equipment related for CMM inspection (precision vice clamps, surface plates, and pegs)
  • Experience CAD modeling
  • Must know CMM programming in Offline Mode
  • Must have experience with CMM probe tips (star, shank, disc, scanning), calibration, and probe rack
  • Must have experience troubleshooting CMM hardware and software issues
  • Proficient with CAD Drafting software Solidworks (or similar software).
  • PC-DMIS training certificates are a plus.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with Green Card.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have good vision and hearing.
  • Must be able to withstand bending, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and minimal instructions.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Proactively communicate with engineers, management, and other team members through verbal, email, text, phone, and other internal electronic communications.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and be professional with customers.
  • Must be able to handle exposure to shop elements such as loud noises, dust, debris, and weather is inherent to working in the production areas.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English is required.
