Job description

Title: Esports Coordinator


Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:

Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Admin Unit as a Level 2. Salary is in low to- mid- 40’s, dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing internal and external events such as tournaments, clinics, camps, etc. as well as the promotion of these events through various social media platforms.
  • Recruiting prospective students to join esports varsity program and attend the college. Working with the Office of Admissions and the Office of Student Financial Services to ensure recruitment and financial aid strategies for recruiting students are being utilized.
  • Managing varsity esports teams practice and game schedules, national association requirements for eligibility, postseason competition, etc.
  • Esports arena organization, cleanliness, and basic operations.
  • Managing the student worker schedule and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid State of Maine Driver’s License and own transportation
  • Associate’s degree in Esports Management or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively before large and small groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of esports, competitive gaming, streaming, etc.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Esports Management or related field.
  • 2 or more years of competitive gaming experience.
  • 1 or more years of competitive gaming coaching.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Computer skills such as, Microsoft Office, Canva/Scoreshots (or other infographic template programs), Adobe Photoshop, Discord, Twitch, and StreamlabsOBS
