JOB TITLE:Clubhouse Work Crew
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-time, 20 hours/week
SCHEDULED HOURS: Monday-Friday, TBD

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
We believe individuals with mental illness can recover, but may need a period of learning and/or re-learning life skills necessary to live, learn, work and socialize in the community environment of their choice.The work ordered day model adapted from certified clubhouses, allows club members to try out and learn basic skills needed in the community and essential to running the club as a whole. The work ordered day also promotes a feeling among members that this is their clubhouse. Staff and members work side by side. The Clubhouse organizational structure encourages peer leadership and hosts a variety of activities to support recovery including free meals (donations accepted) daily, social trips and job readiness training. This recovery driven environment encourages self-esteem building, leadership and participation in activities that promote recovery.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
To perform Work Crew tasks in caring for the grounds of various CHR properties.
By:
  • Working as a member of a team taking direction from supervisor in completing various tasks.

  • Developing job skills and receiving training to be able to move into competitive employment

  • This position is designed to last for a period of about twelve months in effort to provide training and assist employees in accessing resources needed to build skills and talent required for competitive employment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Broad range of ground maintenance such as landscaping and outdoor tasks for 4 seasons
  • Indoor maintenance tasks as needed
  • Able to handle various types of equipment and cleaning supplies
  • Maintains safe workplace environment
  • When working with facilities, ensure trash containers are ready for pick-up; provide access to vendors/contractors and locked-out tenants when directed by Facilities Manager.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: HS diploma or GED
Experience: Prior cleaning/maintenance experience helpful, but not required. Lived experience or in recovery from mental health or mental health and substance use strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION*:
$14.06/hour min. - $21.09/hour max., dependent upon experience.
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based on relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
