JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Club Lounge/Room Service Attendant is responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all Executive Club Lounge as well as room service guests. The main focus is to engage every guest in conversation and recognition, as well as resolve any guest issues immediately.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Vinayaka Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Greet and welcome all guests entering the Executive Club Lounge.
- Set up breakfast/evening reception food items according to standards.
- Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas and servicing equipment.
- Prepare drinks when applicable for the customers and servers, ensure that the proper materials and supplies are on hand, and talk to guests. Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages. Act as the cashier for the servers when necessary (PM Only).
- Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits (PM Only).
- Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Supervisor/Manager.
- Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hotel features, services, and assistance.
- Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and all other employees.
- Deliver food, drinks, silverware, and condiments to guest rooms to fulfill guest orders.
- Wheel the tray into the guest room with the guest’s approval, set up the table, open platters, and identify each portion.
- Check back later to remove the cart.
- Be familiar with the hotel menu to answer any guest questions, such as those concerning food allergies.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F), possibly for one hour or more.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the hotel on a timely basis.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and subordinates.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
AVAILABILITY
This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed workday, to include Saturdays and Sundays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the amount of hours that you work.
