Job Overview

Solid understanding and experience with Oracle Fusion Products, ERP, SCM, HCM. Strong technical experience with Oracle Fusion technologies, FBDI loads, HDL, BIP, OTBI, ESS jobs, Configuration etc. Solid understanding of the underlying Oracle Fusion Table structure. Strong experience with OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) and integration design patterns. Experience designing and developing integrations in OIC to Oracle ERP Cloud including making REST and SOAP calls, FBDI File Uploads, and extracting ERP Cloud data using BIP reports. Experience with Security Administration, custom role development and updates. Experience with troubleshooting and developing Oracle Fusion Workflows. Must be able to apply deep technical Oracle Cloud expertise to solve common and complex issues and identify and recommend appropriate fixes or alternatives. Must possess good business acumen and should be able to present and build technology solutions taking into consideration the existing business processes and the technologies. Must have experience translating business requirements and design into technical solutions. Knowledge and understanding of Service Delivery Life cycle (SDLC) best practices including automated code/configuration build and deployment life cycles as well as code quality and unit tests is required. Ability to research, learn, troubleshoot, and support complex system enhancements. The candidate should be able to solution E2E and build a POC (Proof of Concept) if needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Analytics or related field; AND
  • 2 years of hands-on experience in IT project development and management in Oracle ERP and/or HCM. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Business acumen with the ability to understand and align IT solutions with business goals. Familiarity with various IT systems, software, and technologies. Change management and risk mitigation expertise. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted below. (For education and experience only, does not include legally required Licenses or Certifications.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Technical Lead plays a crucial role in communicating and collaborating with other business units within the organization. 
  • This position involves understanding the business needs, goals, and objectives of various departments and ensuring that the initiatives align with and support these requirements. 
  • The Technical Lead acts as a key point of contact, fostering effective communication, and promoting a seamless integration of Oracle Cloud solutions into the overall business strategy. 
  • Supports development of Oracle Cloud (ERP and HCM) technical artifacts, including creation of documentation, code, and unit test results. 
  • Serves as the Technical Lead in the research, testing, documentation and implementation of Quarterly Cloud Updates, Enhancements and Break -Fix solutions. Collect and document business requirements for Oracle Cloud projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and translate business needs into technical requirements. 
  • Works with teams implementing projects to ensure testing and outcomes align with objectives and to troubleshoot/develop, research and recommend alternatives as needed. 
  • Work collaboratively with departments, program managers, and support staff to understand issues, develop, discuss, document, implement solutions. 
  • Act as the Technical Lead for Cloud Service Requests (SR's). Discuss issues with internal staff, research solutions, recommend corrective actions/work-arounds, coordinate with staff to assist with opening, providing issue details and working with Oracle to test and resolve SR's. 
  • Identify additional reporting opportunities to combine multiple data sources to provide new and unique data analysis opportunities for County management. 
  • Understand Oracle ERP and HCM modules and business processes, as well as underlying data sources through independent research and collaboration/communication with all levels of staff. 
  • The goal is to leverage ever-improving Cloud functionality and enhancements including digital assistants, journeys, and AI. 
  • Work closely with the Cloud business owners including internal ESQA teams to develop new solutions to improve processes as determined by business owners and their ESQA Support Team. 
  • Work closely with project managers and ESQA teams to ensure successful delivery of enhancement projects.
  • Communicate project updates, timelines, and milestones to relevant stakeholders. Support change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption. 
  • Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly in normal office situations.  Occasionally requires travel, including overnight stays. 
  • Position may involve extended periods of sitting standing or walking, as well in-town travel to office locations outside County Center on an as-needed basis.

Work Category

Emergency Management

In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee's department, the County's Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
