Job Description:
ASG is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator in support of our Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services program.
What You Will Do:
- Guide the implementation of secure solutions and services across the client’s business and IT support areas in an agile environment.
- Support multiple AWS cloud operational environments on a day-to-day basis:
- Manage AWS identities and governance,
- Implement and manage storage,
- Deploy and manage AWS compute resources,
- Configure and manage virtual networking and monitor and backup AWS resources.
- Support the configuration, administration, integration, Application Program Interface (API) configuration, monitoring, future upgrades, and management of tools including JIRA and its plugins, Confluence and its plugins, Github Enterprise, JIRA Help Desk, Atlassian Premier Support, Slack, Mini Orange, Mural, Team Foundation Server (TFS), NGINX, Octopus, SonarQube etc.
- Employ excellent client-facing and consulting skills to create innovative business solutions based on your network and systems experience.
- Define and implement secure networking solutions between on-premises data centers and commercial clouds.
- Develop solutions integrating AWS Government clouds (public and government community) with services hosted on-premises and in other clouds.
- Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration.
- Implement virtualized cloud computing solutions based on public cloud, private cloud, hybrid client environments, and multi-cloud environments.
- Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures.
- Set quality standards for tools, techniques, and methodologies, advising on their application, and ensuring compliance.
- Working closely with both the development and operations group and having a strong scripting or programming background.
- Promote application code via CI/CD pipelines. This may include Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices within AWS or cloud-agnostic service (i.e. Terraform).
- Monitoring service uptime to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot issues in various (Development/Test/Implementation/Production) environments and work closely with the development team to bring issues to closure.
- Code promotions of builds to Test/UAT/Production environments.
- Maintain Virtual Machines in AWS Infrastructure as Software (IaaS) for integrated products.
- Participating in engineering reviews of code promotion requests, architecture reviews.
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed.
- Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
- All other duties as assigned.
What We Need:
- At least 6 years of relevant technical work experience (System admin, DevOps, coding).
- Must have AWS cloud experience.
- Working knowledge of database systems: MS SQL Server, Oracle, Couch, Mongo, COSMOS, or MySQL.
- Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, and infrastructure as code a plus.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile development processes a strong plus.
- Strong experience with API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security.
- Must be well versed in general infrastructure technology and understand public and private cloud concepts such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Desktop as a Service (DaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- [SH(1] Experience developing, configuring, and managing cloud-based systems supporting enterprise web-based applications.
- Ability to manage AWS subscriptions and resources, implement and manage storage, deploy and manage virtual machines, configure and manage virtual networks, and manage identities.
- Experience with developing scalable architectures using API management, microservice frameworks, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other applicable platforms.
- Experience implementing secure and scalable hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with DevOps workflows using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and others.

Must be in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.
