What You Will Do:
The Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be part of the Innovation and Technology group (ITG) at Guidehouse Digital and lead efforts to secure our cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Security SME, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust Cloud Security strategies, policies, and practices to safeguard our cloud-based assets and services. You will provide guidance, technical expertise, and thought leadership in the field of Cloud Security, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Cloud Security strategy aligned with the organization's objectives, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Design, implement, and review Cloud Security architecture, ensuring that security controls are integrated into all aspects of our cloud infrastructure.
- Develop, document, and enforce Cloud Security policies, procedures, and standards to maintain a secure environment.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of cloud-based assets and services, identifying vulnerabilities and threats, and providing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure Cloud Security compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., CIS, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR). Lead efforts to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Implement and manage security controls and technologies within cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, network security, and threat detection.
- Develop and oversee incident response plans and provide expertise in handling security incidents and conducting forensics investigations.
- Promote Cloud Security awareness and training programs for staff to ensure adherence to security best practices.
- Establish and maintain Cloud Security monitoring and alerting systems and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Evaluate the security posture of third-party cloud service providers and vendors, ensuring they meet our security requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Cloud Security configurations, policies, and incident response procedures.
What You Will Need:
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card is required
- Bachelor's degree is required·
- Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience in Cloud Security, including expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Cloud Security best practices, architecture, and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, vulnerability management, and security incident response.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies related to Cloud Security.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- A proactive approach to staying current with evolving Cloud Security threats and trends.
