This position will play a leadership role in the implementation of applications to the cloud infrastructure. Collaboratively plan and implement cloud-based and hybrid solutions with a focus on networking, virtual servers, web applications, databases, storage, and security. Operates in a consultative fashion with Architecture and Operations.

This position will play a leadership role in the implementation of applications to the cloud infrastructure. Collaboratively plan and implement cloud-based and hybrid solutions with a focus on networking, virtual servers, web applications, databases, storage, and security. Operates in a consultative fashion with Architecture and Operations.
Your role:
- Promote cloud adoption, technology expertise, and process optimization blueprints for enterprise initiatives to grow the companys digital footprint
- Complete ownership of Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS) deployment
- Be hands-on in high level work with the team and provide guidance
- Develop and lead a world-class team focused on best-in-class reliability engineering and applications operations methodologies
- Right size and optimize cloud infrastructure, while balancing performance and cost
- Foster and encourage a culture of clear and precise communication, continuous improvement, and employee engagement
- Contribute to IT strategy and roadmap as it pertains to cloud services
- Provide both strategic leadership for the organization, as well as hands-on tactical daily leadership
- Develop strong working partnerships built on responsiveness and mutual accountability, with leaders inside and outside of the organization
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, designs, monitoring, performance, and security best practices to improve the overall operation and performance of the cloud platforms
- Work closely with internal and external business partners to gather requirements, design, and implement solutions, manage technical operations, and triage and resolve operational issues
What youve got:
- Bachelors degree in a technology science discipline or a comparable level of experience preferred
- 8 years in an IT leadership role in a large enterprise environment
- 5+ years building and managing platforms in the cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Strong experience in end-to-end DevOps SDLC (configuration mgmt, continuous integration, continuous delivery, release engineering, provisioning)
- Experience crafting and developing cloud and hybrid solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, flexible, and secure cloud architectures
- Solid experience of containers and container management platform (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, TravisCI, Gitlab CI, or equivalent
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (Logz.io, Cloud Watch, Splunk, DynaTrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, etc.)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as TerraForm, CloudFormation, or equivalent
- Experience migrating both custom built and enterprise apps to from on-prem to cloud
- Must have good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to obtain any necessary certifications and/or multi-jurisdictional regulatory licensing required for IT staff.
