Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Azure and AWS cloud technologies, along with expertise in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS. The ideal candidate will also have a solid background in DevOps practices and be proficient in tools such as Terraform and GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines. As an IT Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure and AWS cloud environments, adhering to best practices and security guidelines.
- Implement and maintain Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS services in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Automate deployment and configuration tasks using CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like GitLab.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of applications with cloud environments.
- Conduct periodic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends, proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure and AWS cloud environments.
- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, PKI, NPS, and DNS services.
- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with infrastructure as code concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues in complex cloud environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive mindset and the ability to independently drive projects and initiatives.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications, are a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
There are 2 main projects that this individual will be working on: The Data Centre exit (this is slated to be ending in Aug. or Sept. of this year), and as that gets over they will continue on with the AD project which is going 3-5 years. The AD project is relating to the overall azure AD migration. All servers and network moving away, data center exit.
