Cloud Designer

The Cloud Designer is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions that drive business objectives and strategic initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Maintains a courteous Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Every Home for Christ.
• Adheres to the Biblical standards of moral conduct, Every Home vision statement, Every Home statement of faith, Every Home employee standards and policies, Every Home Covenant of Harmony and upholds Every Home for Christ’s ministry in prayer.
• Design and develop innovative cloud-based solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud platforms, adhering to industry best practices.
• Manage and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Leverage Power BI to design and develop data visualization dashboards and reports to assist business decision-making processes.
• Integrate various data sources from homegrown databases like IDB, Blackbaud, and Social Media analytics to aggregate and visualize data using Power BI.
• Ability to work with O365 apps and Power Automate to create organizational forms and workflows to integrate with Enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and convert business requirements into cloud solution designs.
• Implement robust disaster recovery strategies and continuous deployment frameworks.
• Perform routine audits of systems and software, ensuring compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Provide training and technical guidance to other team members on cloud technologies and Power BI.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and Power BI to ensure solutions are updated with the latest features.
• Completes other requests as needed or directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Actively attends/participates in a local church.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information systems, or related field
• Experience: 3-5 years in cloud infrastructure design and administration with AWS and Google Cloud
• Certifications/Licensing: AWS, Google/Microsoft Cloud, and Power BI preferred.
• Possess a passion for the purpose of Every Home for Christ
• Demonstrate servant’s heart with humility in service to Every Home
• Practices active listening
• Proven experience designing and implementing data visualization solutions with Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services, including computing, storage, database, networking, big data and analytics, and security.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• AWS, Google/Microsoft Cloud, and Power BI certifications are preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Strong time management and organization
