Closing Barista

The Starbucks in Downtown Knoxville is hiring Baristas! Sitting next to the historic Hyatt Place Knoxville/Downtown, this location is frequented by hotel guests, business professionals, downtown residents, and those visiting the downtown area. Our location, next to the Tennessee Theatre and down the street from the Bijou, makes us the go-to spot for pre and post-show caffeine.

Hours: 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm or 12pm-6pm

Your Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a friendly, polite manner, speaking with a smile in your voice
• Taking customer orders and payments using POS system
• Preparing orders to established specifications, always reading the order type and name of customer aloud
• Maintaining a clean, tidy work station, picking up any trash or debris
• Stocking shipments, taking inventory, reporting needs to management
• Following all SOPs, health department regulations, and federal guidelines
• Mentoring other associates, promoting a culture of inclusivity and support
• Engaging in pre-shift, departmental, and all team meetings
• Observing and listening for guest cues and responding without being asked
• Owning guest requests or complaints and following up to ensure 100% satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

What You Need

• WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
• Previous barista/food service experience is preferred but not required
• A coachable, positive attitude, with the ability to adapt and be a team player
