Closing Agent

Job Summary

Anchor Title, a fast-paced, growing title company, is currently looking for a top-notch candidate eager to fill a full-time role as a Closing Agent in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, AL. This is an hourly wage position paid based on experience level with commission opportunity, as well as competitive benefit offerings including: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong title and escrow knowledge, excellent customer service skills and honed attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing files for closing and/or post-closing of residential and commercial real estate and mortgage transactions
• Coordinates seamless file management throughout closing process, from pre-closing to post-closing
• Maintains accuracy of files throughout closing process and informs appropriate persons if need for additional documentation or actions arise
• Collaborates with realtors and lenders to prepare closing statements, schedule and conduct the closing, prepare and record documents and make appropriate disbursements associated with the settlement process
• Clears title issues, identifies underwriting concerns and balances escrow with minimal oversight
• Prepares closing disclosures, ALTA Settlement Statement, sellers documents and other curative documents when applicable
• Processes incoming and outgoing recordings
• Proactively works to identify issues with forward progress of loan and title work and facilitates timely problem solving to help ensure timely closings for clients and stakeholders
• Performs other functions and duties as required as agreed upon with management

Skills and Qualifications

• Displays strong interpersonal, administrative skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team, handle high volume of files and be able to prioritize tasks required
• Proficiency with local Probrate Court Search Engine for basic document search, Microsoft Office suite, SoftPro, Pro-Trust and robust computer skills strongly preferred
• Practices highly effective organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and influence outcomes through effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ideal candidate will be professional and polished with excellent customer service skills
• Must have the flexibility to conduct late closings when required
• At least two years of prior knowledge and experience working in the title industry is required

Founded in 2004, we specialize in issuing commitments, listing binders, policies, title reports and escrow loan closings for residential and commercial purchases and refinances. We also provide services for debt consolidation, construction loans and 1031 tax exchanges.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
