Child and Family Solutions is currently seeking a self-motivated, results-driven Intensive In-Community Counselor (IIC). The goals of services are: to stabilize the service recipient, prevent the need for a higher level of care, and support or improve functioning in vocational, educational, and social domains. The IIC develops and implements individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of the youth and family. Specific interventions/modalities are short-term in nature and include but are not limited to the use of cognitive behavioral and family systems strategies.
The licensed IIC reports to the program director and collaborates with referral sources (case managers), bachelors level clinicians, and the youth's school when necessary.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Model and implement treatment interventions as documented in the treatment plan.
- Develop progress notes: rating progress and describing each client contact and how the contact relates to treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other professionals working in the home or community setting.
- Attend supervision and participate in quarterly service plan meetings.
Minimum requirements
- Clinical New Jersey licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field.
- 2 years of relevant direct service experience.
- Experience working with youth and families experiencing behavioral and/or emotional challenges.
- Previous experience working with confidential information.
- Trauma informed clinicians a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong technological skills strongly encouraged.
