JOB SUMMARY

The Mobile Crisis Supervisor provides administrative and clinical oversight to program staff. Works with staff to assist consumers and their family/legal guardians when a crisis arises. Ensures that staff are responding to crisis calls, completing screeners/assessments, documenting all services, and handing off communication in a timely manner. Assists team to collaborate and engage with community resources to prevent the need for incarceration or involuntary commitment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exemplifies and promotes the principles of service excellence in all actions and activities.
  • Engages and communicates effectively with consumers and families, physicians, health care providers, law enforcement, internal team members, etc.
  • Ensures 24/7 Mobile Crisis coverage including on-call; provides on-call coverage as needed.
  • Provides crisis support and intervention services as needed. Facilitates mental hygiene process participating as a crisis worker or crisis evaluator.
  • Supervises the staff of the program, evaluates workers' performance, establishes and maintains employee work schedules, and makes recommendations for personnel actions as indicated.
  • Facilitates staff meetings, consultations, and other needed meetings/trainings.
  • Maintains records and prepares required reports.
  • Works with all payer sources to assure that prior authorizations and continued authorizations are in place when indicated.
  • Provides clinical supervision per policy including chart reviews to assure that services are being provided according to best practice/regulatory standards.
  • Works with staff to ensure regulatory, accreditation, and agency policies and procedures are followed.
  • Ensures staff training is current; provides training on relevant topics as identified in chart reviews and clinical supervision.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and participates in process improvement activities.
  • Responsible for helping to identify and monitor program outcomes.
  • Directs and assists with day-to-day operations of program.
  • Markets program to community providers and organizations.
  • Utilizes technology provided to perform job efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible to work with internal and external customers to identify and work through barriers to access services.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of center policies and procedures, licensure regulations, CARF Standards, Medicaid, and other regulatory bodies governing Prestera's service delivery.
  • Writes quality reports and correspondence.
  • Attends all departmental and center meetings/trainings as assigned.
  • Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA, and risk management policies and procedures including but not limited to completing Incident Reports.
  • Participates in other functional work by participating in related projects, as applicable and directed by Center leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises staff that work in Substance Use Disorder Residential programs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience or prior training working with youth and adult mental health and substance use disorder population is preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources preferred.
  • Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to learn, navigate, and work with data to track outcomes, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Ability to address crisis situations to prevent a higher level of intervention.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in conjunction with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and meet work deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling from an accredited program required.
  • Discipline-appropriate professional license preferred.
  • Maintains First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Maintains current crisis prevention/intervention training.
