Title:                                 Clinical Supervisor

Qualifications:
                 Must be a fully licensed LMHP that maintains a current and unrestricted license with its respective professional board or licensing authority in the state of Louisiana. Must be on call as needed; and must have a minimum of five (5) years qualifying experience as an LMHP in the provision of services provided by the EHCS BH. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous supervision experience preferably in a social work, behavioral health setting. Writing skills are necessary to perform the job.

Position Summary:
      Ensures EHCS BH adheres to rules and regulations regarding all behavioral health treatment, such as group size, caseload, and referrals; serves as resource person for other professionals counseling or providing direct services to clients with behavioral health disorders; and provides supervision utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling.

ADMINISTRATION/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees day-to-day clinical operations of Enhance Health Care Services Behavioral Health LLC (EHCS BH) (i.e., developing and disturbing weekly communication logs, supervision of clinical staff, follow-up visits with  clients (in-person and virtually), set SMART goals, ensure clinicians are servicing 75% - 80% of their caseload, assist with complex clients, service unassigned clients, assign/reassign caseloads based on clinicians credentials/experience, conduct initial and annual trainings of all employees, provide quality assurance, review clients and personnel charts in regard to CARF compliance standards, supervise on-call rotation and follow-up on on-call matters, participate in CARF survey(s), attend weekly admin and staff meetings, communicate with the Clinical Director, etc.) 
  • Assures that the quality of clinical services is maintained through individual and group supervision while utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling. 
  • Responsible for rotation scheduling and participating in 24 hour (7 days a week) on-call supervisory for all programs in case of an emergency.
  • Inform the Owner and/or Director in a timely manner of all relevant political, financial, clinical, and liabilities issues, as well as, make recommendations for any changes in procedures.
  • Review all incident reports. Consider actions to be taken and implement changes to avoid similar incidents in the future.
  • Develop, revise, and make recommendations for relevant program policies and procedures. Participate in internal and external committees and management team meetings.
  • Review policies and procedures annually and revise every three (3) years or as necessary.
  • Assure that performance reviews (i.e., Employee Satisfaction Surveys) are completed annually for staff under direct supervision, including, but not limited to establishing specific, individual professional development goals.
  • Review all reports of suspected abuse or neglect of vulnerable adults or minors and ensure that appropriate actions are taken. Inform the Owner, Director of Administration, and/or the Clinical Director if reports involve alleged maltreatment by staff, students, or volunteers.
  • Ensures EHCS BH adheres to rules and regulations regarding all behavioral health treatment, such as group size, caseload, and referrals.
  • Must work at least 35 (thirty-five) hours per week for EHCS BH with at least twenty-four hours (24) completed in the office with the remaining hours billable (i.e., performing Assessments, CPST, Crisis Intervention, and/or Psychotherapy as applicable based on your expertise/credentials). 
  • Assure that a quality improvement program is implemented.
CLINICAL SERVICES
  • Supervise and manage program service(s) according to the standards of Louisiana Behavioral Health Services Provider Manual, Chapter 56. Behavioral Health Service Providers Regulations, and your respective professional licensing board rules and regulations.  
  • Ensure case managers/counselors/social workers' clinical notes are in compliance with the Department of Health (LDH) and credentialed MCO’s billable standards before submission of paperwork for payment.
  • Ensure that clinical records are accurate, current, and meet medical assistance standards (LDH, CARF, Magellan, and other state/federal) licensing regulations.
  • Develop family education service partnerships and a resource contact database.
  • Consult with director, clients, case manager (social worker) and appropriate management when clinical concerns interface with a client's inability to pay for services.
  • Facilitate family council meetings and group education or counseling with clients.
  • Share a regular rotation providing after hours on-call supervision of organization wide c clinical service.
  • Attends and participates in treatment planning activities and discharge planning.
  • Plans, coordinate, and implement all aspects for client’s therapeutic care while client remains in the therapeutic/psychiatric program.
  • Provide Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment Services (CPST), Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR), or Psychotherapy services to applicable clients that are not receiving services.
  • Assist in the design and evaluation of treatment plans for PSR and CPST services.
  • Attends and participates in weekly meetings, trainings, supervision, periodic meetings, treatment planning and discharge planning in-person, conference calls, or virtual meetings to ensure integrated services, reduce gaps in care, and address any problems that arise.
  • Abides by outlined timeframes to submit Intake Paperwork, Monthly Progress Reports, Progress Notes, Supervision Logs, 90-Day Summaries, etc.
CONSULTATION AND EDUCATION
  • Provide consultation about clinical and administrative issues to other resources as requested.
  • Provide educational training and information to the families and friends of clients and to the general public as needed.
  • Provide leadership about in-service training offered to staff, assuring that it meets licensure standards and clinical needs.
