SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Clinical Supervisor has the primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations of department, including planning, coordinating and supervising the activities of the nursing / technical and reception staff to ensure the delivery of quality patient care; provides leadership and serves as a resource for staff and physicians in the department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum – BSN required, previous experience in medical practice supervision, proven leadership, demonstrated ability to organize, communicate effectively and shape workplace attitudes; ability to evaluate situations and problem-solve; ability to share ideas effectively with others and in group situations; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to interact with people diplomatically; demonstrated ability to make appropriate decisions in the absence of instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
All Clinical Supervisors will be required to train on the company’s Athena and EHR systems. Once training is complete, a proficiency examination will be given. All Clinical Supervisor/Managers are required to pass these examinations with a demonstrated proficiency score of 90% or greater. All newly hired supervisor/managers will have no more than (2) opportunities to attain this proficiency within their initial training period.
PHYSCIAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; lift, move and transport patients and materials; motor coordination and manual dexterity; read and understand medical information; visual acuity.
