The Clinical Solutions Engineering (CSE) team expands Flywheel features and provides value to our customers by developing innovative solutions. We are seeking experienced and talented Solutions Engineers who will engage with customers in industry and academia to solve complex scientific and biomedical challenges.
Successful applicants will understand how to leverage the platform to meet customer requirements and liaise with the rest of the Flywheel team to ensure future development aligns with customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a desire to make positive contributions to the biomedical and life sciences communities we serve and a passion for problem-solving, elevating others around them, and delivering quality results on-time. This position is supervised by the Senior Director of Customer Solutions and Support. There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Responsibilities
- Hone expertise in data science, Machine Learning, and ETL to develop and maintain containerized algorithms that facilitate reproducible, cutting-edge science.
- Qualified candidates will have experience being the “Technical Integrator” for multiple academic or commercial research projects: connecting users, data, new and/or existing algorithms, and results into a reproducible system. Work with our sales team and directly with our customers to identify client customizations and requirements.
- Support our sales team on client demos and provide technical backup when required.
- Develop, containerize, and maintain customers’ data science workflows.
- Use the XNAT API to integrate external applications with the XNAT, Discovery and Trial Flow platforms.
What would make you a great fit
- BA/BS degree in a technical, scientific, or engineering field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data science/management.
- Expertise with Python, Bash, Matlab, Git.
- Experience with Machine Learning and ETL.
- Experience with scientific workflows designed for computational reproducibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for process, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Great communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the XNAT platform (preferred).
- Java/Spring development background (preferred).
- Experience with Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) (preferred).
- Neuroimaging research workflow and analysis pipelines including common tools, such as FreeSurfer, FSL, AFNI, SPM ANTs (preferred).
- Knowledge of medical software standards, including DICOM, HL7, and IHE (preferred).
- Familiarity with medical imaging operations, imaging informatics, and HIPAA / FDA regulatory compliance (preferred).
