Total Compensation: $75-90k Base Salary, $25-30k On-Track Commissions, Car Allowance.

Iris Scientific is a specialty recruitment agency laser focused on sales and marketing roles in the North American Scientific and Medical Instrumentation & Supplies Industry.
We are working with a market-leading global laboratory supply/instrument company to find a field-based CLINICAL SALES SPECIALIST, covering BC and Alberta. The candidate can be based out of Vancouver, Edmonton or Calgary.
PLEASE NOTE: must possess an MLT or BMLS designation with 2+ years lab experience. An MSc or PhD is an additional asset. Previous laboratory sales experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
Product coverage includes workflows within anatomical pathology, histology, immunochemistry, hematology, microbiology, all with in the hospital market.

Our Clinical Specialists are actively involved with Clinical Account activity, including Strategic Sales Strategies, Business Development, Contract Implementation and Business Reviews.
A Day in the Life:
As part of our Sales Team, you are accountable for developing key business relationships with senior level decision makers within our clinical accounts. Working with a minimal amount of supervision, you will increase sales through highly focused selling to new customer opportunities (through direct sales efforts, contract negotiations, product and process detailing) in a highly competitive market.
Keys to Success:
Education:
- Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with appropriate major required
- MSc or PhD is an asset
EXPERIENCE
- 2+ years of successful hands-on clinical lab or Clinical Sales experience
- Laboratory technician experience strongly preferred (experience with workflows pertaining to Anatomical Pathology, Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Approximately 30 to 50% travel will be required for this role.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- MUST HAVE Canadian work authorization
- Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle (car allowance provided).
- Must be able to travel to the US (Training and Sales Meetings)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to identify business opportunities in relation to growth strategies
- Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and able to work from a home office.
