Additional duties will be assigned as needed. Perform intravenous line (peripheral) insertion for multiple blood draws during the study; Perform intravenous fluid administration; Obtain blood samples and process the samples using various laboratory equipment; Assess the risk and safety of the study participant during the study including adverse events and serious adverse event; Provide support in obtaining informed consent from potential study subjects; Obtain vital signs, medical history taking; This position assumes and performs additional research or general project duties as assigned; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES The Registered Nurse (or LVN) is a developing professional expertise and applies working knowledge to solve problems of moderate to difficult scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. The Registered Nurse (or LVN) accomplish tasks of moderate technical complexity and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
The Registered Nurse (or LVN) requires low supervision and normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. The work is generally reviewed upon completion. This person builds productive internal/external working relationships.
