Substance Abuse Clinical Specialist
The Substance Abuse Clinical Specialist works as a part of an interdisciplinary clinical team.
- clinical oversight and quality assurance to program staff and unlicensed and licensed clinicians who provide community-based mental health, addictions, and or behavioral healthcare services
- adherence to all applicable licensing, supervision, billing, documentation requirements
- discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the duties of the position
- S/he may be assigned additional duties as deemed appropriate
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing or a related field of study and either
- full certification as a certified alcohol and drug counselor (CADC) or certified co-occurring disorder professional (CCDP) in the state of Delaware or by a nationally recognized organization in addictions counseling;
- two (2) or five (5) years of documented clinical experience in the substance abuse treatment field
