POSITION SUMMARY. Clinical Resources will aid, guide, and support the Directors of Nursing, Nursing staff, and Administrators within each Skilled Nursing Facility assigned. The resource will be assigned to 3-5 Skilled Nursing Facilities in the west valley and will guide each facility to help maintain regulatory and clinical functions. Works alongside the nursing department to provide a safe, homelike environment where residents can achieve and maintain their fullest level of wellness and function. Engages in ongoing development of the Directors of Nursing to perform in geriatric care, leadership skills, communication skills, and management skills. May be asked to assume responsibilities of the Executive Director or Director of Nursing in their absence.

Establishes and maintains a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, staff, families, and community guests. Ensures orientation and welcoming process occurs for all new residents and new staff.
Aids the nursing department staff.
Interviews, orients, coaches, and develops Directors of Nursing. Supports professional growth of Directors of Nursing.
Encourages teamwork, promotes wellness philosophy, and supports open communication and collaborative problem solving. Leads by example.
Actively protects resident and staff safety by recognizing, reporting and taking immediate action to minimize risk of accident or injury. Observe for any signs of resident abuse or neglect, and take immediate action to prevent harm. Reports incidents according to community policy and state laws.
Ensures all infection control guidelines are met and appropriate tracking and surveillance procedures are followed according to community and state requirements.
Maintains knowledge of current assisted living regulations. Responsible for compliance with company policies/procedures, pharmacy policies/procedures, and state and federal agency regulations.
Oversees mentoring of and performance evaluations for Wellness staff.
Ensures adequate staffing levels that meet program and clinical needs based on state regulations and community budgets.
Collaborates with the Executive Director and Nursing team
Collaborates with other community departments and contracted providers
Performs additional duties, within the scope of practice, as necessary.
Maintains valid licenses/certifications as required by state and/or federal regulatory bodies.
