The role you'll contribute:
The Clinical Resource Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of the activities of the total patient care services during his/her assigned shift. In the absence of the Administrator and/or designee, the ED Clinical Resource Nurse has the authority and responsibility for administrative decisions and appropriate notification of the Administrator-on-Call. S/he serves as a role model for the mission, vision and values of AdventHealth. S/he uses critical thinking skills and the nursing process to insure optimal patient outcomes. S/he facilitates the tone of the work environment and assures that all personnel are competent, adhere to all policies of the department and organization and adhere to all behavior standards of AdventHealth
The value you'll bring to the team:
Carries out hospital/nursing policies, procedures and standards.
- Visits all patient care units to ascertain condition of patients, evaluate staffing needs and provide support to caregivers..
- Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
- Lead clinical teams in ensuring high patient and physician satisfaction and provide support through difficult and complex issues.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
- Kansas Registered Nurse License
- BCLS and ACLS obtained through the American Heart Association
- Associate's Degree in Nursing, BSN obtained within 5 years
Additional certifications/registrations are required or preferred by specific clinical areas of practice. RN must demonstrate certification/registration upon hire or agree to obtain requirements(s) within 1 year of hire unless deemed otherwise by manager.
- ACLS PALS NRP, TNCC, BLS, NIHSS
