POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Rehab Analyst will assist in the development, support and functionality roll out of an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and supporting IT systems and serve as a liaison for all inpatient rehab matters to include regulatory, billing, establishing priorities and creating solutions for identified problems. The Clinical Rehab Analyst assists in optimizing workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet SGMC’s needs. The Clinical Rehab Analyst will learn the EHR system’s capabilities and functional use and apply their knowledge of Patient Care Business workflow to assist in the implementation of a system that meets best practice and maximizes cost saving opportunities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to develop, document and ensure adherence to technical standards.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage one’s own work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service.
- Strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology preferred. Basic understanding of clinical workflows and terminology preferred.
- Healthcare IT experience in acute care or ambulatory care settings a plus.
- 5 years’ experience in rehabilitation setting required.
- 3 years’ experience maintaining compliance with Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility regulatory requirements.
- Required license in one of the following: Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist.
- Required certification for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System.
- Required certification in Clinical Documentation certification with Epic within 3 months of hire.
Business setting, indoors with possibility of irregular hours and/or call back, moderate to heavy stress on a continued basis. Required to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate on-call and other responsibility including accessing system from out-of-campus to analyze/resolve system problem/halts. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays on occasions during conversion of software/operating system, or installation of enhancements/hardware, or to meet deadlines. Require full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye and hand coordination. Requires standing, walking, and sitting for periods of time. Requires corrected vision to acceptable range. Requires lifting, approximately 50 pounds, transporting and installing computer equipment. oMust have a valid driver’s license. Possible exposure to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases.
