MHM Services of California, a Centurion company, is proud to provide healthcare staffing to the California Department of State Hospitals.
We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Coalinga State Hospital located in Coalinga, California.
$55.00 per hour + great benefits, 401k, and PAID time off
Monday - Friday Day shift -5/8s or 4/10s
The Dietitian (CA Staffing) works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services on a multi-disciplinary team to provide medical nutrition therapy to forensic clients, patients, or inmates in a state facility.
Essential Duties:
• Developing and implementing nutritional care plans based on nutritional history and assessments
• Assisting and advising clinical personnel on any special nutritional needs
• Interpreting prescriptions for special diets
• Authorizing substitution or modification of special diets
• Assisting in the selection and training or dietary staff
• Planning and conducting in-service training programs for food personnel
• Other duties as needed
Qualifications
• Graduate degree required in Nutrition and Dietician
• Valid registration with the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Must have knowledge of principles, practices, and theories of nutrition and dietetics, methods of planning, preparing and serving food to a large number of persons, and special nutrition-related requirements (age, culture, ethnicity, social, religion/creed) of mentally or developmentally disabled persons
• Must have ability to apply the principles and practices of nutrition and dietetics, assess nutritional status to develop nutrition care plans, communicate nutritional data to the written record and to the healthcare team, explain dietetic requirements to clients/patients/staff/others, keep records and prepare reports, and analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
-Must be able to pass a Background check
-Choice of hours between 5am to 7pm
