Description:
The Clinical Project Quality Specialist/Auditor is responsible for the identification, collection, and analysis of clinical data for the purpose of supporting key strategic performance improvement initiatives along with required regulated data submissions. Provides assistance in creating reports of the collected data as needed. Provides accurate, reliable, useful and timely information to internal and external customers, utilizing available patient care documentation to improve quality of care. In addition, will be responsible for communicating with multiple sites regarding accurate data collection and generating comparative reports. This person is highly motivated and a self-initiator. Ability to interpret and communicate findings to groups of professionals.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Project Quality Specialist/Auditor is responsible for the identification, collection, and analysis of clinical data for the purpose of supporting key strategic performance improvement initiatives along with required regulated data submissions. Provides assistance in creating reports of the collected data as needed. Provides accurate, reliable, useful and timely information to internal and external customers, utilizing available patient care documentation to improve quality of care. In addition, will be responsible for communicating with multiple sites regarding accurate data collection and generating comparative reports. This person is highly motivated and a self-initiator. Ability to interpret and communicate findings to groups of professionals.
What you will need:
Minimum: BSN with Masters Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Preferred: Extensive clinical knowledge regarding GI surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and quality preferred
Minimum: A minimum of five (5) years experience in an acute setting. Must possess an understanding of quality assurance and performance improvement methods/tools. Must demonstrate expert critical thinking skills.
Preferred: Experience in medical oncology, surgery, and radiation. Previous clinical research experience regarding data collection, data analysis, and data abstraction. Knowledge of hospital/clinic protocols, project management skills, and auditing/reviewing charts as well as a strong theoretical and practical background in nursing and epidemiology is desired.
