We are currently hiring a Clinical Practice Manager based in Framingham.The Clinical Practice Manager is responsible for assuring patient-centered, efficient, and effective day-to-day operations of the health center site, in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards of accrediting organizations. This position supports all non-provider clinical staff at the site, including nurse managers, forms coordinators, medical assistants, nurses, health screeners and nutrition team. The Clinical Practice Manager works closely with the VP of Nursing and Clinical Support to assure that nursing functions at the site are high quality and consistent across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Hires, orients, trains, assigns tasks, sets schedules, and provides ongoing supervision, support and performance evaluation for all non-provider clinical staff at the site.
  • In collaboration with the VP of Nursing and Clinical Support, provides oversight of nursing functions at the site, such as prescription refills, office visit planning, urgent referrals, nurse triage, nursing visits, high risk patient care coordination and tracking, immunization ordering and administration, and infection control.
  • Works with the nurse manager(s) and others to assure the timely flow of clinical documents and other communication between the clinical team and other health center departments, such as pharmacy, medical records, referrals and external organizations such as laboratory, hospitals, home health agencies and community pharmacies.
  • Designs and implements systems to effectively manage the following components of site operations: 1) patient flow from beginning to end of the provider/nurse visit enhancing quality of care 2) understanding and working to improve provider and nurse visits (productivity and revenue collection) 3) follow up of no shows 4) incident reports involving clinical staff.

Education and Experience:
  • Must hold a valid Massachusetts RN License
  • Minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience in a health care setting.
