SalaryWe are currently seeking clinical phlebotomist's, MA's, nursing assistants, HHA's, & LPN's to join our team! This position is a great opportunity for nursing students, premed students, and anyone interested in joining the healthcare field as we offer on the job training for the right candidates! We are primarily hiring for our Eden Prairie location at this time. Position may include an occasional rotation between the multiple clinics within a reasonable distance from your home, upon completion of all training. Applicant must be comfortable working in a judgement free and ego free environment as we are a values-based clinic that prioritizes the provider-patient relationship in a non-judgement setting, offering traditional western medicine combined with natural/holistic care options. Clinic Hours: Eden Prairie: Monday-Friday:7am-7pm and Saturday/Sunday: 8am-4pm. Albertville: Monday-Friday:7am-7pm and Saturday/Sunday: 8am-4pm. Burnsville, and Woodbury: Monday - Friday: 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-4pm. Alexandria: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm. Position will include a scheduled every other weekend rotation. Typical schedules will be 10-13 hour shifts.
Purpose of Job: This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers. Facilitates patient/physician/provider communication and coordination of care.
Job Functions:
- Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR.
- Answers phone calls and retrieves patient conditions/concerns/questions and reports those to provider. Returns calls with providers recommendations.
- Administers prescribed medications/vaccine’s and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure. Preforms EKG's and other clinical procedures.
- Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients.
- Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day.
- Assists in maintaining stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam rooms.
- Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary.
- Assists with patient education.
- Assists with the training and orientation of new staff.
- Serves as Lab when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current CPR Certification-or willingness to complete upon hiring
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
- Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
- Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
