The Pharmacy team is actively seeking a highly qualified Clinical Pharmacist with residency training to join our dynamic 32-bed Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit. In this crucial role, you will serve as a clinical specialist, contributing to the excellence of our pediatrics critical care team.

The Clinical Pharmacist will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and monitoring clinical pharmacy programs aimed at enhancing patient care, with a particular focus on reducing costs. This position involves providing clinical services to patients and professional staff, as well as collaborating with the medical staff on drug utilization and cost containment. Additionally, there may be occasions where supervision of department employees is required, in consultation with the department Director and/or Pharmacy Manager.
Requirements
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Ability to promote teamwork, build effective relationships, and lead/facilitate work groups
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy and hospital computer systems, as well as computer-assisted devices
- Familiarity with the healthcare reimbursement environment
Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy degree
Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency or fellowship, or demonstration of equivalent experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Licensure in the State of Texas
Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house program or other accredited program, if appropriate
