Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.
Position Overview:
Supervises and coordinates the quality of patient care in a specific hospital unit(s), by providing oversight of nursing staff. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the unit through staffing/scheduling and direct observation of patient care activities by the nursing staff. The supervisor reports to the Clinical Manager, Emergency Services.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Current CA Registered Nurse License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Three (3) year’s staff nurse experience in an acute care setting
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a health related field
- Nurse Supervisor/Nurse Manager experience
