Clinical Medical Assistant

Busy Internal Medicine practice seeking experienced Clinical Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, able to multi-task and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Traditional clinic workflow which includes: triage, medication reconciliation, EHR documentation, EKGs, ear lavage, dressing changes, A1Cs, urinalysis, phlebotomy, medication and vaccine administration, scheduling appointments, etc. as directed by MD/ NP.
• Assist provider(s) with in office procedures.
• Contact patient via telephone with test results and recommendations as directed by provider.
• Schedule testing with outside facilities and ensure test results are received for prompt reviewing.
• Complete referrals to outside providers and notify patient of appointment information.
• Return patient calls
• Prior Authorizations and Pre-Certs

Requirements

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent (preferred)
• BLS Certification (preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
