Job Description Summary
The Clinical Liaison will be responsible for developing a referral relationship to the defined markets for the hospital. In addition, the liaison/representative will coordinate one-to-one calls to educate and inform the referral sources of available specialty rehab services and the benefit to patients.

Job Description
You will be responsible for ensuring that the intake and referral processes are performed effectively and timely to meet the needs of patients, families, referral sources, and the organization; completes the admission process on referred patients in emergency cases, as staffing indicates, and for inpatient hospice admissions.
  • Provides accurate and timely information regarding acute rehab services to anyone inquiring about acute rehabilitation care.
  • Receives calls from referral sources, responds timely, and initiates documentation to begin Intake/referral and authorization process.
  • Serves as patient advocate in evaluating/developing plan of care.
  • Calling on multiple account types including short-term acute care hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, home health providers, and physician offices.
  • Offering in-services and education on the benefits of acute rehab services.

Candidates must have a clinical degree (Nursing preferred). Candidates with outside, hospital-based sales/marketing/liaison experience are encouraged to apply. This is a field-based position with daily travel required. May live anywhere between the Charlotte Metro area and the Columbia Metro area.
Additional Job Description
Education: Current state professional licensure essential (i.e. RN, LPN, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, SLP, RT, etc) preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Current driver's license in state of employment and acceptable driving record required. Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required.
