The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is recruiting candidates to be trained in a career as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS). This 4-semester training program will begin in the Fall of 2024.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock has partnered with Weber State University to offer an associate's degree program. Some previous college coursework is required, though a degree is not. Individuals who have already earned a degree in any field are also encouraged to apply. All program coursework is completed online while lab experiences are completed at Dartmouth-Hitchcock laboratory facilities in Lebanon, NH.
Responsibilities- College-level coursework in General Studies, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Chemistry required.
- Experience as a Laboratory Assistant or Phlebotomist preferred.
- Eligible for acceptance into an MLT Associate's Degree program.
At the end of the training period, take and pass the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) exam.
