Work location: Texas Health Center for Diagnostics/Surgery, 6020 West Parker Rd, Plano TX 75093
Work hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday - 9:00a-5:30p
Diagnostic/Surgery Department highlights:
- Self-scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
- Wave testing only laboratory
- Shifts are M-F days
Here's What You Need
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
- Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy highly preferred
- PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred
What You Will Do
- Performs daily review of results from the department
- Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
- Perform Phlebotomy
- Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
- Follows established laboratory test procedures
- Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
