ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists the Vice President of Clinical Informaticsfor Skilled Nursing Services with development of strategies for successful clinical practices across Skilled Nursing Services.

  • Demonstrates collaborative leadership and communication skills throughout the organization to maintain productive and accountable working relationships related to assigned projects.
  • Assists the Vice President of Clinical Informaticsfor Skilled Nursing Services with planning, coordinating, leading, and maintaining accountability of the implementation of Clinical Informatics programs.
  • Effectively delivers small group presentations, large group trainings, video presentations and other forms of education as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge on state and federal regulation and changes to requirements related to health information technology.
  • Represents Skilled Nursing Services in a professional manner when working with collaborative work groups and project teams.
  • Supports and facilitates project management utilization serving as project manager as needed.
  • Maintains awareness of current changes in field of expertise, as well as to maintain professional licensure or certification status.
  • Complies with Corporate Compliance Program.
  • Complies with the Privacy and Security Programs
  • Works collaboratively with the operational and clinical leaders to integrate clinical technology and informatics skills into various trainings, education programs, skills check list, and orientation plans.
  • Implements and maintains compliance with Clinical Informatics and information governance plan for Skilled Nursing Services.
  • Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
  • Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master of Science in Nursing with focus in Informatics, required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER APPLICATION SKILLS
This job requires proficiency with the following computer applications: Word Processing Spreadsheet Presentation Software Video Conferencing
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Current Active RN license in Georgia, required
  • Board Certification in Nursing Informatics thru ANCC, preferred
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA), Georgia, preferred
  • Certified Professional Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), preferred
