Responsibilities*
  • Ability to organize, prioritize effectively and efficiently.
  • Collects Clinical Information from Michigan Medicines electronic medical record (EMR) in order to complete data forms for federal agencies (DHHS, CIBMTR, NMDP, FACT) and for our research faculty on acute and long-term therapies.
  • Identifies, investigates, and helps resolve problems with data audits for internal, CIBMTR and FACT accrediting agencies.
  • Enters clinical data into Michigan Medicines internal software systems (VELOS, OnCore, Red Cap, etc.) and provides outcome analysis in programmatic reports.
  • Leans about cellular immunotherapies (i.e., CAR-t, NK, Dendritic Cells, etc.) and blood and marrow transplant treatments plants, corresponding medications, and critical lab values for each of the diseases treated in this program and complies with FDA regulation for data submission.
  • Understands what data is necessary for various time points within patients treatment plan (i.e., pre-infusion, Day 100, Day 180, annual, etc.) and evaluates data against source documents.
  • Prepares and submit forms to national registries each trimester.
  • Is up to date on emerging cellular therapies, new commercial products, and non-oncologic cell therapies along with blood and marrow oncologic cell therapies as they relate to standards provided by federal agencies and programmatic vision.
  • Is able to maintain the program leadership abreast of form completion, trimester deadlines, and form changes that impact how clinical data is collected from electronic medical records.
  • Applies all FACT standards to data collection for the program and participates in FACT-related meetings for data management throughout the year. This includes preparing for at a minimum at one quality bi-monthly meeting and at the annual program quality meeting presented to clinic unit leadership.

Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in analyzing and interpreting process, clinical outcomes and costs of care.
